Meet Kathy Durham

Teacher, Nana, Fighter for Common Sense and the Common Good
Candidate for U.S. Congress, Nevada’s 2nd District

I’m not a career politician. I’m a rural educator, a mom, and a nana who believes every Nevadan deserves a fair shot and a government that works for them.

For years, I’ve taught young people about how our democracy should function, the Constitution, civic responsibility, and how everyday decisions in Washington impact families right here at home. But what I see in government today doesn’t match what I teach or what I believe America can be.

I’m running for Congress because I believe leadership is about solving problems, not creating them. It’s about restoring honesty, respect, and accountability. And it’s about standing up for working people, a strong democracy, and the tribal and rural communities that have always been the heart of Nevada.

People over profit, community over chaos, standing up for Nevadan, every voice, every family, every town.
